The notion of a sickly sweet candyland is one that pervades popular culture, such as Sugar Parade. It’s a notion which harks back to a time of childhood innocence, when the world was a simpler place and the idea of walking through a world whose trees and plants were made out of all things sugar, spice and nice sounded utterly idyllic.
